The Town has once again partnered with the Interact Club to put on the Spook-tacular Halloween party. The Golden Secondary School students are excited to host this fang-tastic event.

“One of the most exciting events for our club has always been the Spook-tacular Halloween party. It is a great opportunity for our club to build new relationships by engaging with the youth, all while having some spooky fun!” says Interact Club vice-president Ellie Evison.

Among the many hauntingly great events planned are an array of games, crafts and contests, including pumpkin mini golf, Halloween bowling and free face painting. In addition, there will also be a haunted house and costume contest.

“To help encourage healthy choices we have chosen to change up our prizes. We can’t wait to see lots of smiling faces and scary costumes,” says Evison.

The annual Halloween kids party is a community favourite,” says Jordan Petrovics, Town of Golden Manager of Recreation Services. “This club has done some amazing work in our community and bring plenty of creatively spooky energy to the event plan.”

Boys and ghouls are encouraged wear costumes to the party and head over to the Arena afterward for a costume Public Skate!

The Children’s Halloween Party is being held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mount 7 Rec Plex and is free to attend. Costume Public Skate will be held afterwards at the Arena from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Regular admission rates will apply.
