Public notice regarding smoky sky advisories and wildfires Print Article Font Size

The Town of Golden will repost any information that pertains to the Southeast Fire Centre as it becomes available to us. In addition, if there is any information that affects our area locally, we will certainly share it with residents on this page and though our other media channels. At this time, we have not been advised of any wildfires threatening our community directly though we are seeing a lot of smoke from other fires in our region.

The Town of Golden and the CSRD Area A have an integrated emergency management program, with the Emergency Program Coordinator that works to plan for emergencies that impact the local community.

The Town would like to remind residents to help keep your family safe from wildfires and other emergencies by preparing in advance for a potential evacuation alert or order: develop a household plan, put together an emergency kit and connect with your neighbours.
