The owner of 912 - 12 Street South wishes to convert an existing accessory structure into a Detached Secondary Residential Dwelling (DSRD). The property is zoned R-2 Twin Residential this is a permitted accessory use in the zone. Two variances to Zoning Bylaw 1294, 2011 are proposed:SULTAN-DVP.PNG
Schedule E R2 – Twin Residential zone’s Section F) Minimum Yard Setbacks – DSRD requires:
  1. This proposed variance allows for a reduction of the:
    1. Interior lot line setback from 3.0 m to 1.6 m.
    2. Rear lot line setback from 3.0 m to 1.9 m.

  1. By forwarding written submissions for Council consideration (attention of the Manager of Legislative Services) by post (P.O. Box 350, Golden B.C. V0A 1H0) or by email to (only emails sent to this email address will form part of the Council Agenda). Any submissions must be received by 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, April 16, 2020; and / or
  2. Please note, that during this COVID pandemic, Council meetings will either be closed or offer very limited availability for public attendance. If you would like to participate in this process, please utilize the written submission instructions above as there may not be an opportunity for in person representations at the April 21 Council meeting.
