Check-in on Short Term Rentals Print Article Font Size
On July 21, 2020 Town Council gave first reading to three bylaws aimed to regulate short term rentals and directed staff to proceed with a public engagement check-in to make sure we are on the right track. The public engagement check-in will take place on Tuesday, August 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Golden Senior's Centre.

Physical distancing, a restriction on total occupancy of the building at one time, and other measures will be in place as COVID-19 precautions.

Can't make it to the check-in or prefer an alternative to the in-person event? You can provide your feedback online until August 31 at surveymonkey.com/r/STRcheckin. Visit golden.ca/strs for more information and to view the information boards that will be presented at the open house check-in.

Town Council’s goal is to create a regulated and fair framework that allows some STRs while protecting existing housing stock.

Your feedback will help us determine if the proposed Short Term Rental bylaw and regulations meet the needs and expectations of the Golden community and identify any areas that may need to be amended before the bylaw and regulations are brought forward in a formal Public Hearing later this year.
