Pay Town of Golden bills online by Debit or Credit Card

Credit card payments are not accepted directly by the Town of Golden. However, bills can now be paid by debit or credit card using the PayTM Merchant hosted webpage. or Canada mobile app
 
Invoices that can be paid with PayTM include:
 
Property Taxes: Use your 8 digit tax account number
*Some are only 5 or 6 digits – these should start with zeros
 
Utilities: Use your 7 digit utility account number
*Some are only 2 to 5 digits – these should start with zeros
 
Accounts Receivable:
 
Use your 5 digit alpha numeric account number
 
Bylaw Notices: Use your 6 digit notice number beginning with BN
* Example: BN123456
 
Business Licenses: Use your 8 digit notice number beginning with BL
* Example: BL12345678
 
Dog License Renewals: Use your 3 digit Dog License number beginning with DL
* Example: DL123

FEES:

Tax payments:
Credit Card – 2.50%
Debit Card – 1.25%

All other payments:
Credit Card – 2.00%
Debit Card – 1.25%
 
Fees charged are retained by the service provider. Please refer to their website for terms and conditions of services, charges and payment processing times.

To Pay with PayTM Canada’s Phone App:
  1. Download the free PayTM Canada mobile app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
  2. Search for “Town of Golden” under Taxes or Utilities and set as the payee.
  3. Enter the corresponding account or roll number, your name, and the amount you are paying.
  4. Review the details and proceed to checkout (note any additional fees charged).
 Please note that the PayTM mobile app only allows payment for property tax and utility bills.

*Important information:
  • There may be restrictions on the types of credit cards accepted. 
  • The Town of Golden receives only the billed amount.
  • Payments done through the PayTM Canada app take up to 5 business days to process. Be sure to make your payment in time for us to receive it no later than 4:30 p.m. on the due date.
  • Payment is processed by the Town on the date we receive the funds which may be a few days after payment is made. 
  • To avoid penalties, it is the taxpayer’s responsibility to ensure the payment is received on time by the Town.
