Physical distancing is an important part of limiting the spread of COVID-19. Keep in mind, it is safe to go outside to get fresh air, walk pets, ride a bike and exercise while maintaining safe physical distances.

Payments and accessing services:
For residents that need to make a payment to the Town of Golden, you can pay through online banking or by cheque or money order through the mail or the mail slot at Town Hall. For more information on payment options, including how to set up online payments through online banking, visit golden.ca/onlineservices.

You can help prevent the spread of all viruses, including COVID-19, with these simple tips:
  • Maintain physical distancing:
    • ⁣⁣Stay 2 metres (6 feet) from others.⁣⁣
    • Absolutely NO group gatherings.⁣⁣
    • If the park is busy, leave, and come back later.
  • Wash your hands! The most important thing you can do to prevent coronavirus (and other illnesses) is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face. Washing your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the washroom and when preparing food.
  • Cover it up! Cover your mouth and nose with your arm when coughing and sneezing.
  • Stay home! If you are sick and experiencing fever, cough, sneezing, sore throat or other flu-like symptoms, stay at home and away from others. Do not go to work or school. If you have questions or concerns about your health contact Health Link by dialing 811. If you are advised to seek care, please contact the clinic (250-344-2211) or hospital (250-344-5271) before going in.
  • Clean up! Clean the following high-touch surfaces frequently with regular household cleaners or diluted bleach (1 part bleach to 9 parts water): toys, toilets, phones, electronics, door handles, bedside tables, and tv remotes.
